Description:

The collection consists of one photograph by F. N. Broderick (British, active circa 1870s). The photograph is embossed: “Broderick’s Series” on the recto, and is inscribed: “Shanklin Chine” on the verso. The image is a forest view of a small wooden bridge crossing the chalybeate springs at the head of the Shanklin Chine, a gorge on the Isle of Wright. Item-level information follows.
