The collection consists of two dry plate negatives and three corresponding gelatin silver prints by John N. Riker (American, 1844-1920). The images are examples of manipulated photographs and trick photography. In one image a standing headless man is holding his head in both palms of his outstretched arms. In the other image a standing headless photographer is holding his head in the palm on one outstretched arm and a camera in the other palm. |
