The photographs, all of which are albumen prints, are primarily of churches and cathedrals but also included are two panoramas of Malta harbor. Identified photographers are Francis Frith (British, 1822-1898), credited as "Frith's Series," and Horatio Agius (Maltese, 1844-1910). Captions, which are from inscriptions on the album pages and from titles printed from the original negatives, follow. Information provided by the cataloger appears in brackets.
