Description:

Nineteenth century album, likely dating to the 1880s, containing photographs of England, Scotland, Malta, and France. The photographs, all of which are albumen prints, are primarily of churches and cathedrals but also included are two panoramas of Malta harbor. Identified photographers are Francis Frith (British, 1822-1898), credited as "Frith's Series," and Horatio Agius (Maltese, 1844-1910). Captions, which are from inscriptions on the album pages and from titles printed from the original negatives, follow. Information provided by the cataloger appears in brackets.
