Description: |
The Xograph and Lenticular Photography Collection is comprised of 13 parallax stereographs dating from circa 1965 to circa 1985. The images appear three-dimensional and animated by an optical illusion which "is achieved through the use of alternating strips of images taken with a stereographic camera. The array of strips is covered by a grating that allows the right and left eye of the viewer the see only corresponding right or left image fragments, which creates the perceptual illusion of three dimensions." (Art & Architecture Thesaurus Online). Print information follows. |
