Description: |
The collection consists of 171 photographs taken by archaeologist and anthropologist Dr. Alvin T. Jackson, of the University of Texas at Austin, between circa 1930 and circa 1950. Many of the photographs feature Texas flora and fauna. Also included are photographs of landscapes, historic sites, markers, artifacts, paintings, dioramas, and architecture, including many mills. Additionally there are images of Lake Buchanan, before and after its inundation. The prints are arranged according to the descriptions on the twenty-three envelopes in which the collection arrived. Print subjects follows. |
