Photograph album in four volumes, dating to 1938 or later, containing of 341 images, most of which are portrait photographs that are signed by the subject or are inscribed to Henry Jessen (American, born 1885 in Germany), who was an engineer, a member of the American Philatetic Society, and an autograph collector living in San Antonio, Texas. The portrait photographs are primarily gelatin silver prints but also include halftone prints and photogravures. The subjects of the portraits include (I.) American Congressmen (II.) American Army Generals (III.), American Navy Admirals (IV.), and American Governors. This album was acquired with the E. O. (Eugene Omar) Goldbeck Papers and Photography Collection. |
