The collection consists 48 photographs by R. L. (Richard L.) McCowan (American, born 1932), who founded Carbro Ltd. in the 1980s. Various processes are represented in the collection including chromogenic color, dye transfer, and carbon prints. McCowan is well known for his "re-invention" of the Carbro Process, a cross between the carbon and bromide printing processes.
