Photographically illustrated book by Joseph Mullooly (Irish, 1812-1880), titled Saint Clement, Pope and Martyr, and His Basilica in Rome (Rome: Printed by G. Barbera, 1873), containing ten mounted photographic reproductions of paintings taken by an unidentified photographer. This is the second edition that is enlarged and improved. It is inscribed: "Rush C. Hawkins, Rome, March 26, 1873," and it contains handwritten notes throughout text. Item-level information, including the printed captions, follow. |
