Description:

Longfellow, Henry Wadsworth, 1807-1882. Hyperion: A Romance. Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1868. Two photographically illustrated books, each containing twenty-four mounted albumen prints by Francis Frith (British, 1822-1898). Although the caption titles are the same in both books, eight of the 24 photographs differ from copy 1 to copy 2. Titles follow:
