The Robinson Jeffers Literary File contains 2,510 images (1,361 loose prints and safety negatives, 1132 nitrate negatives, 16 tintypes, and 1 ambrotype). Featured are snapshots of the Jeffers family, travel scenes in Great Britain and Europe, “Tor House” in California, plus various literary celebrities of Jeffers’ day, photographs of some works of art, and stills from Jeffers-related theatrical productions. Of note is a portrait of Jeffers by Edward Weston (970:0004:0001). The tintypes and ambrotype are of Jeffers’ maternal (Tuttle family) relatives. An index at the end of this guide lists identified photographers whose work is featured in this file.
