Description:

The collection consists of 36 photographs, the majority of which are portraits of J. L. (James Louis) Garvin (1868-1947). There are also snapshots of various Sundanese people on the island of Java, a portrait of Lady Constance Malleson, a group portrait made at The Observer's first staff dinner in 1911, and other miscellaneous subjects.
