The collection consists of 513 photographs of and related to the short-story writer Katherine Mansfield (New Zealander,1888-1923). The majority of the photographs are of Mansfield, her husband John Middleton Murry, and other family members, as well as friends and associates, including Dorothy Brett, Marie Laurencin, D. H. and Frieda Lawrence, Lady Ottoline Morrell, and Leonard and Virginia Woolf. Also included are views of locales in New Zealand, England, France, Italy, and Switzerland that are associated with Mansfield.
