HRC 31 Abraham bar Hiyya Savasorda (circa 1065-1136), Surath Ha-Ares (fol. 2-40r) and Immanuel ben Jacob Bonfils (14th century), Shesh Kenaphayim (fol. 41-70v). Italy: 15th century. 73 leaves: parchment, 243 x 172 mm. Written in Hebrew, Italian rabbinic script. Layout is 31 lines ruled in hard point or 40 lines in 2 columns. Includes astronomical charts (fol. 44-70). Binding: Bound in early dark brown morocco, blind-tooled, abraded. Provenance: Sir Thomas Phillipps (1792-1872), no. 4046; bought from the London bookseller James Taylor circa 1825-1830; acquired by the Ransom Center in 1970 (R5180) from New York bookseller, Lew David Feldman (House of El Dieff).
