Different copyright rules apply in the UK and the USA. In the UK all works published during Ford's lifetime are out of copyright from 2010; in the USA all works first published before 1930 are out of copyright. Unpublished works will potentially remain in copyright in the UK until 2040, but are out of copyright in the USA from 2010.
