Biographical Sketch
James W. Moll began teaching in the University of Texas at Austin Department of Theatre and Dance in 1941 and was made a professor emeritus in 1979. In his thirty-seven years at the University he directed more than one hundred productions of plays, musical comedies and operas from a broad range of American and European dramatic literature. He held degrees from the University of Michigan. |
Scope and Contents
The James W. Moll Papers, 1949-1978, contain typed and photocopied scenes from plays, as well as a complete script for Show Boat and printed music for Henry IV, Part II. The remaining teaching files include handouts of exercises and information for drama students, as well as illustrative prints and other classroom materials. |
