Scope and Contents


The George Ives Literary File Photography Collection consists of 27 photographic prints, mostly portraits of various people, including several of Ives as an older man. Ives was among the founders of the British Society for the Study of Sex Psychology (later, the British Sexological Society). An index at the end of this guide lists photographers whose work is featured in this file. Further descriptions of some items may be available in a card catalog in the repository.
This file forms a part of the Literary Files Photography Collection that is comprised of photographs and albums withdrawn from the libraries and/or papers of literary figures, and generally includes portraits and images collected by or of those figures.
