Raymond and Albert, as indicated by the inscriptions on their jackets, stand behind a display counter filled with candy bars and other sweets. This grocery was identified in 1975 as Smith Grocery. During research conducted in the 1980s, the store was identified as possibly being the Alamo Grocery located at 213 South Staples Street and owned by Albert Raymond and Louis Mareck. The store was a combination confectionery and grocery, and it also sold storm and fire damaged goods. |
