The Edward Gordon Craig Literary File consists of 136 photographs, the majority of
which are portraits of various people, including Craig throughout his life, Ellen
Terry (his mother), E. W. Godwin (his father), Elena Meo, Edward and Nelly Craig
(his children with Meo), Max Beerbohm, Isadora Duncan, Lord Howard de Walden,
Henry
Irving, Vsevolod Meyerhold, and Constantin Stanislavsky. There are also views
of
Craig's residences in Italy and France and of the Arena Goldoni in Florence, Italy,
which Craig used for his theater school. Some of the photographs are copy prints
apparently associated with the biography of Craig written by his son Edward Carrick.
