ALICE WILLITS DONALDSON
Indiana-born artist and craftsman Alice Willits Donaldson (1885-1961) worked in many genres. Early in her career, she painted ceramic pieces at Rookwood Pottery and for many years produced illustrations for magazines. Her obituary in the New York Times states that she also worked in textiles, "painted murals for the Ford Rotunda building in Dearborn, Mich., and did screens for the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco."
